3rd edition of C2MTL Commerce + Creativity: The world's leading economic and creative minds descend upon Montréal Français
MONTRÉAL, May 27, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Several of the world's most creative and daring thinkers of their time are presently en route to the city. Until May 29, over 2,000 delegates will take part in the third edition of C2MTL at the Arsenal. Hailed as one of the most innovative conferences on the planet, this event developed by the creative agency Sid Lee, offers business leaders an incredibly rich program of activities, surprising artistic performances, inspirational conferences and original workshops, all in an immersive environment ripe for exchange and reflection.
During these three days of business meetings and celebrations, over sixty leaders from a diverse array of fields who inspire and change the world, such as director/explorer James Cameron, Bangladeshi economist and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Professor Muhammad Yunus, economist Noreena Hertz and Google's Abigail Posner, will inspire participants with their experiences, career journey and creative business vision. Montréal will also be proudly represented by Nathalie Bondil, Director and Chief Curator of the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA), director Xavier Dolan and fashion designer Philippe Dubuc.
A cultural metropolis and a UNESCO City of Design, Montréal brims with creative talent, and C2MTL is an extraordinary showcase that broadcasts it to the world. Local artists, whether they work in visual or performance arts, in fashion or in music, will be in the spotlight during the event. Patrick Watson, Cirque du Soleil, and the Montréal International Jazz Festival as well as the Elektra and MUTEL festivals are but a few of the world-class headliners featured in the program this year.
"Tourisme Montréal has proudly supported C2MTL since the very beginning. Our organisation firmly believes that Montréal stands out and shines because of the innovative events held here that powerfully reflect the city's DNA," underlined Mr. Yves Lalumière, President and CEO of Tourisme Montréal. "In just two years, C2MTL has become an international reference when it comes to experiential savoir-faire and an essential meeting for leading economic and creative drivers from both here and abroad."
Tourisme Montréal, whose mandate is to promote the city as a destination, is taking advantage of the C2MTL event to organise press tours for foreign journalists as well as familiarization tours for several major event and convention planners. As such, the organisation hopes to increase its exposure in the international press and convince decision-makers to choose our incredibly creative city for their upcoming events.
Finally, to wrap up the third edition on a festive note, the Montréal community is invited to attend the C2MTL OPEN HOUSE during its Illumination evening on May 29. As of 7 p.m., the public will have the opportunity to experience the dynamic energy that surrounds C2MTL, rub shoulders with passionate creators from across the globe, and discover the unique immersive village set up at the Arsenal for the event. Tickets are available at evenko.ca.
