After eight successful years at L'Oréal Canada, Javier San Juan is appointed President L'Oréal Latin America Hispanic Zone Français

MONTREAL, Feb. 3, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - On February 1st 2014, in agreement with the Group's General Management, Mr. San Juan was entrusted with the strategic position of President - Latin America Hispanic Zone and President - L'Oréal Mexico. This position answers the Group's ambition to regroup management by geographic zones, in accordance to an era of globalization and universalization.
Mr. San Juan is one of the great international managers of L'Oréal Group and has held various positions in Spain, Russia, Romania and Argentina, before moving to Canada in 2006. Over the course of his 8 years in Canada, L'Oréal Canada, one of the multinational's most important business subsidiaries in the world, witnessed a remarkable growth in sales, from $760M in 2006 to $1,030M in 2013, and in market shares, from near 20% to over 30%. L'Oréal Canada's main growth drivers under Mr. San Juan's management have been the fast development of digital, the growing diversity of talents, and the continued innovation.
Under Javier San Juan's leadership, many best practices were implemented, enabling the company to earn various awards, including Canada's Top 100 Employers (2005 to 2014), Canada's Best Diversity Employers (2009, 2010), Canada's Top Family Friendly Employers (2008 to 2011), Montreal's Top Employers (2006 to 2013), Canada's Top Employers for Young People (2007, 2009 to 2013) and Top 50 Socially Responsible Corporations (2010, 2011).
Mr. Frank Kollmar will succeed Mr. San Juan as President of L'Oréal Canada. Mr. Kollmar was recently President of the Consumer Products Division in Canada. He began his career with L'Oréal Canada 15 years ago in the Active Cosmetics Division. In 2003, he left to join the German subsidiary of the Group, where he led an international career before returning to Canada in 2011. Mr. Kollmar will pursue the mandate of perpetuating the company's success by outperforming the market and further solidifying its 1st position in the Canadian cosmetics industry.
