TORONTO, Sept. 22, 2016 /CNW/ - Nine online retailers were named the best in Canada in their categories at one of the industry's premier events, the Canada Post E-commerce Innovation Awards. At the sold-out event tonight, the winners were recognized by the judging panel for their excellence in e-commerce, omni-channel strategies and customer engagement.
The Awards were shared by established brands and emerging retailers selected from a field of 29 finalists chosen from a record number of applicants. The winners will share a total prize package of $1 million from Canada Post, including shipping services, customized direct marketing packages with data solutions and other marketing exposure. Since the Awards were launched five years ago, Canada Post has awarded $5 million in prizing to 32 different companies.

- Pure Play of the Year Award – large: SHOES.com
- Pure Play of the Year Award – small: Momzelle
- Best Customer Engagement Award: Frank + Oak
- Most Exciting Start-Up Award: MATH Sport
- Community Impact Award: Lunapads International
- Consumer Champion Award: Well.ca
- Canada Post E-Commerce Innovator's Award: Mitchel-Lincoln Packaging
The winners were chosen by judges Jeremy Cain of Facebook Canada; Mohit Grover of Google Canada; Michael Leblanc of the Retail Council of Canada; Sucharita Mulpuru-Kodali of Shoptalk; and Stéphane Ricoul of eCOM.
The Consumer Champion Award is chosen by Canadians in an online vote. The Canada Post E-commerce Innovator's Award goes to an e-commerce company that has made a significant contribution to advancing e-commerce in Canada, as chosen by Canada Post.
