Infrastructure Advisory Leader Brings Global Experience to Drive Growth of Business and Investor Advisory Services
Arup's Canada Group Also Welcomes Associate Principal Melissa Burton
TORONTO, April 15, 2019 /CNW/ -- Arup, a global leader in the built environment, announced the appointment of Craig Forrest to lead their Canadian operations, effective April 1, 2019. Forrest works out of Arup's Toronto office, and oversees the company's Montreal office as well.
Forrest brings more than 24 years of experience in helping clients invest in major infrastructure projects in energy, aviation, water, transport and cities. For the past five years, Forrest has served as the Global Leader for Arup's Business and Investor Advisory services, providing strategic business, financial, economic, regulatory and asset management advice. Under his leadership, the Business and Investor Advisory services group has received international recognition, winning multiple industry awards, including recent honors as Top Technical Advisor in Europe, Africa and the Americas by IJ Global and the top ranking Technical Advisor by Value in 2018 by Inframation. Forrest joined Arup in 2007 as the Commercial Director for the Infrastructure of Europe Group.

To support Arup's recent growth in other practice areas, the Toronto office also welcomed Melissa Burton as the Consulting Practice Leader in Canada. Melissa is Canadian and joins the Toronto office from New York. Also as a leader with Arup's Advanced Technology and Research team, Melissa brings with her a wealth of technical knowledge, client relationships, and business leadership to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
In addition, both the Toronto and Montreal offices, which currently employ over of 320 people, recently moved to new, larger spaces to support the dynamic and growing business. Arup has seen healthy organic growth in Canada in recent years and expects around 20% this year.
