Best in Class: 2013 Hospitality Award recipients honoured

Choice Hotels Canada celebrates 31 hotels across the country for their exceptional service

TORONTO, Feb. 26, 2013 /CNW/ - Are you planning a trip this year and looking for a hotel with top-notch guest service? Choice Hotels Canada has just announced the recipients of their 2013 Hospitality Awards and with properties across the country being recognized, your perfect hotel is waiting.

The properties honoured are the top 10 per cent of more than 300 Choice Canada properties across the country. The 31 recipients included 11 who received Platinum Awards, putting them in the top three per cent. The remaining 20 received Gold, placing them in the top 10 per cent.

"To be recognized in one of these two categories is a major achievement for franchisees," says Tim Oldfield, managing director of Choice Hotels Canada. "As leaders in guest service, they have set the bar high by providing their guests with a positive and memorable experience and we're so proud of what they have accomplished."

To qualify for a Hospitality Award, the properties are ranked using a detailed list of criteria, which included guest surveys (and their likelihood to recommend the property to friends and family), third-party quality assurance audits and their desire to meet guest needs.
