Bill 181, Municipal Elections Modernization Act, 2016

TORONTO, April 21, 2016 /CNW/ - The Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs will meet to consider Bill 181, An Act to amend the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 and to make complementary amendments to other Acts.

The Committee intends to hold public hearings in Toronto on Thursday, May 5, 2016 and Thursday, May 12, 2016.

Interested people who wish to be considered to make an oral presentation on Bill 181 should provide their contact name, mailing address, phone number, and email address to the Clerk of the Committee by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2016.

Those who do not wish to make an oral presentation but wish to comment on the Bill may send a written submission to the Clerk of the Committee at the address below by 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2016.
