TORONTO, April 4, 2012 /CNW/ - The CAW has reached a tentative agreement with MTS Allstream, covering more than 500 telecommunications workers across the country.
CAW Local 2000 represents communications technicians who work at a number of centres across the country, including in Toronto, Montreal, Halifax, Calgary and Vancouver. CAW Local 2000 members install and maintain commercial telecommunications infrastructure.
"This agreement helps recognize the hard work our members perform on behalf of MTS Allstream," said CAW Local 2000 President Dylan Gadwa. "The tentative agreement allows us to move forward and represents stability as our industry adjusts and evolves with the recent regulatory changes."
Detail of the new tentative agreement will be presented at ratification meetings over the course of the next two weeks.
