CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation's mission and operations will remain independent
MONTREAL, Sept. 4, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Following Minister Gaétan Barrette's announcement concerning the grouping of the CHU Sainte-Justine and the CHUM, the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation would like to remind donors that it will maintain its core mission of supporting Sainte-Justine.
That was the message delivered by CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation President and CEO Maud Cohen this morning, as she emphasized that donors' generous gifts will all continue to go directly to helping the mothers-to-be and children of Sainte-Justine.
"Our mission is to provide the experts of Sainte-Justine with the means to develop better solutions for our young patients today so that they can grow up to be healthier adults tomorrow," Mrs Cohen said. "We will continue to work toward this goal, as we have always had in the past."
"Now more than ever, young adults transitioning from the pediatric to the adult healthcare system require personalized services adapted to their specific needs," she stated. "As Minister Barrette indicated yesterday, grouping the two organizations will enable experts to facilitate this reality in a more integrated manner. We welcome this move."
Driven by the steadfast commitment of its donors, the Healing More Better campaign, ongoing until 2018, will make it possible to keep finding better ways to heal more children in Quebec.
