MONTREAL, Oct. 31, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The Management of Dessau would like to rectify one point made during the testimony of Martin Dumont, who appeared Tuesday in front of the commission presided by Judge Charbonneau, in connection with the awarding and management of public contracts in the construction industry.
Contrary to Mr. Dumont's allegations, Dessau's President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Jean-Pierre Sauriol, never set foot in the offices of the Union Montreal party, nor did he ever visit any office of any other political organization.
Even if it is not illegal to visit the office of a political party, Dessau feels it necessary to specify this correction because of the insinuations created by this false allegation, which could unfairly tarnish the reputation of its President and CEO.
Dessau's policy has always been to comply with the law. The company's activities are founded on strong values, which include integrity, and are guided by a Code of Ethics to which all our employees are bound.
Following this official press release, Dessau's Management will not be issuing any further comments in connection with the work undertaken by the Charbonneau Commission to this date.
