Collective agreement reached between the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and the Syndicat des communications de Radio-Canada (FNC-CSN)

OTTAWA, June 16, 2014 /CNW/ - Today, the Honourable Dr. K. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women, congratulated the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and the Syndicat des communications de Radio-Canada (FNC-CSN) on reaching a collective agreement.

The Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, under the Canada Labour Code, assisted the employer and the union in reaching an agreement.

• The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, officially branded as CBC/Radio-Canada, is a Crown corporation that serves as the national public radio and television broadcaster.
• The Syndicat des communications de Radio-Canada (FNC-CSN) represents approximately 1,619 on-air personnel and programming employees in the province of Quebec and in Moncton, New Brunswick. The union's previous collective agreement expired on September 30, 2012.
