David Linds to retire from CIBC Mellon; Rob Ferguson and Richard Anton take on new executive roles Français

TORONTO, May 4, 2015 /CNW/ - CIBC Mellon, a Canadian leader in asset servicing, announced today that David Linds will be retiring from his role as Senior Vice President, Business Development and Relationship Management on July 1, 2015. The company also announced that Rob Ferguson has been appointed Senior Vice President, Capital Markets, Business Development and Relationship Management and that Richard Anton has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, with both appointments effective July 1, 2015.
David Linds has been with CIBC Mellon since inception, and has led the company's sales and relationship management functions for more than a decade. Linds previously served as a member of and chair of the board of directors for Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra and Chamber Choir. For many years, he has also volunteered as an account executive in support of United Way Toronto's annual fundraising campaign.

In the newly-created role of Senior Vice President, Capital Markets, Business Development and Relationship Management, Rob Ferguson will take on overall responsibility for building and strengthening CIBC Mellon's relationships with clients across the asset servicing spectrum. Ferguson has 25 years of industry experience, having joined CIBC Mellon at the company's inception in 1996. Ferguson's prior roles at CIBC Mellon include Vice President, Product and Client service, Co-Head of Global Securities Lending, and most recently Senior Vice President, Capital Markets and Product Delivery.
With his appointment to the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, Richard Anton will continue to lead CIBC Mellon's Client Service Delivery teams, while also taking on responsibility for the company's corporate project office, product management and centralized client administration functions. Anton joined CIBC Mellon in 2014 in the role of Vice President, Operations and has nearly 20 years of financial industry experience. His former roles include serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, State Street Cayman Trust Company Ltd; Chair of the Board of Directors for State Street Cayman Trust Company Ltd.; and, as a member of the Board of Directors for State Street Fund Services Toronto.
