A majestic sales office will soon welcome potential buyers
MONTREAL, Oct. 14, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Cadillac Fairview, Canderel, the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ and the Montreal Canadiens Hockey Club today announced details of the exclusive benefits and unique design features of the living areas that the eagerly anticipated phase 2 of Tour des Canadiens will offer its prospective owners.
"Exclusive access to the Montreal Canadiens, a choice location in the heart of Quad Windsor, a lively and dynamic new neighbourhood, directly connected to the hub of public transit, with outstanding units and common areas: these are the distinctive characteristics that will make the Tour des Canadiens 2 project attractive to potential buyers," said Daniel Peritz, Senior Vice-President, Canderel.
To give potential buyers a real possibility to see and feel what it will be like to live at Tour des Canadiens 2, in the Quad Windsor district, the largest master planned community in downtown Montreal, the Tour des Canadiens 2 partners have made a significant investment in an unprecedented sales office of nearly 9,000 square feet that will welcome its first visitor starting in November. Three times the size of the sales office built for the Tour des Canadiens' first phase, it recreates the atmosphere of a future residential project in a way no promoter has ever done in Montreal.
A giant 20 foot art piece designed by Eventscape, in partnership with Montana Steele Strategic Marketing and HUMA Design, illustratives the contemporary and visionary tower. Valued at over $100,000, it is composed of a steel structure and white aluminum facade, with integrated LED lighting. The sales office will also feature a model of the new tower as well as two stunning fully furnished life-sized model units, recreating the breathtaking views of the city that future owners will enjoy. Future buyers will be able to appreciate not only the quality of the project and the richness of the common spaces, but also the scope of the Quad Windsor district in which they will live once they have moved in.
Spacious units and exceptional views
The 438 suites and the common areas of Tour des Canadiens 2 were designed by Huma Design. With prices starting under $200,000, units feature contemporary European-inspired design, sleek lines and an efficient layout that creates spacious, open interiors regardless of the square footage.
"Classic walnut, golden oak and urban grey dominate the colour palette in the units. Each suite boasts a brilliant fusion of style and substance, with bright, airy interiors that afford spectacular views. The studio, one- and two-bedroom suites and penthouse units all include an integrated appliance package, with refrigerator, convection oven, cooktop, dishwasher and microwave", said Stéphanie Cardinal, president and designer, HUMÀ Design.
Tour des Canadiens 2 will also have a number of unique amenity spaces. The Skylounge, located on the building's top floor, offers outstanding views of the city. With a bar and fully equipped dining area, its sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere makes it the perfect place to treat friends and family to an unforgettable evening – no such amenity exists in Montreal. Residents will have access to two swimming pools: one indoor, with views of the city, and one outdoor, on the third floor overlooking the adjacent park, complete with patio and fireplace, private cabanas and a bar area under a retractable roof.
The amenity areas in Tour des Canadiens 2 will also include a wine bar with private refrigerated cellar, a games room with Canadiens-inspired arena seating, large flat-screen televisions, bar and billiard table, located next to the fitness room, which recreates the ambience of the Habs' dressing room.
A strategic location and unique benefits offered by the Montreal Canadiens
Geoff Molson, owner, President and CEO of the Montreal Canadiens Hockey Club, said that Tour des Canadiens and Tour des Canadiens 2 are the only two condo projects in Montreal to offer their owners unprecedented access to the Canadiens. Every year, the owners will be given priority to purchase tickets for regular season games and will be able to enjoy two hours of skating for two people at the Bell Centre. They will also be eligible to attend pre-season games in a private box or behind the Canadiens' bench. In addition, they could have the opportunity to receive a private invitation to a Habs' training session or a VIP tour of the players' dressing room. In short, residents will enjoy a host of unique benefits offered by the Canadiens.
"I'm very pleased to be part of a project that offers such an exclusive relationship with the Canadiens and contributes to strengthening the bond between the team and its fans," said Mr. Molson.
Tour des Canadiens 2 will be located at the corner of Jean-d'Estrées and Saint-Antoine Street West, in the heart of Quad Windsor, the new district in downtown Montreal that will be home to office and residential buildings, retail stores and green spaces, covering more than five million square feet. Cadillac Fairview is investing $2 billion to develop the Quad Windsor district, which will transform the face of downtown Montreal once completed.
"Cadillac Fairview is resolutely committed to Montreal's future. Our redevelopment plan is aimed at transforming the area around Windsor Station, a heritage landmark synonymous with quality urban development and architectural prestige proudly owned by Cadillac Fairview. Our plan is to create Quad Windsor, a new neighbourhood that will be a modern, exciting place to live and work and a natural extension of Montreal's downtown. The addition of new "signature" towers to Montreal's skyline—like those that bear the Montreal Canadiens' brand—will contribute to making Quad Windsor "the" choice destination for workers, residents and visitors," concluded Brian Salpeter, Senior Vice-President, Development, Eastern Canada, Cadillac Fairview.
Designed by Page + Steele /IBI Group Architects in association with BLT Architectes, the building is an architecturally sculpted glass tower with forms inspired by icicles. It will also feature a dramatic four-storey high atrium overlooking the plaza between the building and Saint-Antoine Street. It will be linked by a spectacular above ground skybridge to both the Bell Center and the Windsor Station making the residents' access to the major sporting and entertainment events as well as public transit only rivaled by its sister building Tour des Canadiens.
