Noted Canadian researcher Dr. Cara Tannenbaum to present at Gender Summit 2017
MONTREAL, Nov. 6, 2017 /CNW/ - Dr. Cara Tannenbaum, CIHR Scientific Director and a vocal champion for an equitable funding ecosystem in Canada, will present at the Gender Summit 2017. Dr. Tannenbaum's presentation will focus on how integrating concerns around sex and gender into research policy has the potential to address health challenges faced by up to 50 % of the Canadian population.
- Dr. Cara Tannenbaum is the Scientific Director of the CIHR Institute of Gender and Health and is available to discuss the difference between sex and gender and how it relates to research.
*The 2017 Gender Summit will take place in Montreal, Quebec from November 6 to 8, 2017. Close to 600 advocates of gender equality from science, innovation and development will participate in the summit.
