MONTREAL, Sept. 26, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - In collaboration with Easter Seals Quebec, the Quebec Society for Disabled Children (QSDC) is holding today its unique and exciting annual fundraising event Drop Zone. Fearless participants will live a truly exhilarating and exceptional experience to support disabled children in a most spectacular way.
For this occasion, the participants dressed as superheroes will rappel down the 21 floors of the 1981 McGill College skyscraper. With the help of national and local sponsors, the Canadian goal is to raise up to $1 million to give disabled children across Quebec access to programs that promote their personal growth and their integration into the community.
The figure skater Joannie Rochette will be a part of the 2013 edition along with the celebrity hairdresser Luc Vincent who will perform a complete hair makeover to a participant during their rappel. In one day alone, Drop Zone gave an opportunity to the brave superheroes to inspire the children with the courage they need to persevere and to achieve a happy life.
