WINDSOR, ON, Aug. 13, 2012 /CNW/ - On Saturday, August 11th, 2012, members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Windsor Detachment executed a search warrant and arrested a Windsor man for allegedly selling pharmaceutical drugs.
As a result of an investigation that began in the fall of 2011, the RCMP arrested Ellis Anderson. Subsequent to his arrest a search warrant was executed at his Rivard Avenue residence in Windsor. The search of the residence resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of oxycodone pills.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are anticipated.
"Drugs destroy lives, homes and communities," stated Cpl Tim Fiset of the Windsor RCMP Detachment. He added, "The RCMP is committed to keeping our communities safe through the enforcement of the laws of Canada."
Ellis Anderson, 46 years old of Windsor has been charged with:
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Section 5.2 CDSA.
Anderson will appear in Windsor court on September 10th, 2012 in courtroom #6.
