TORONTO, April 10, 2013 /CNW/ - Dynamic Funds ("Dynamic") managed by GCIC Ltd. ("GCICL"), today announces the launch of Dynamic Preferred Yield Class and changes to Dynamic Canadian Dividend Class.
Managed by Marc-André Gaudreau and the Montreal-based corporate credit team, Dynamic Preferred Yield Class seeks to provide dividend income while preserving capital through investing primarily in a diversified mix of preferred shares from companies across North America. Dynamic Preferred Yield Class may also invest in dividend paying common shares and interest earning securities.
Additionally, effective today, Dynamic Canadian Dividend Class is renamed Dynamic Income Growth Opportunities Class ("the Fund") to better align with the Fund's investment mandate and its amended investment strategies, also effective today, which consist of broader asset allocation. Don Simpson and David Fingold will continue to co-manage the Fund's equity component and will be joined by Marc-André Gaudreau who has been added as co-manager to the Fund responsible for the fixed income component. Finally, the management fees on Series A and Series T shares of the Fund have been reduced to 1.90% and Series F shares of the Fund to 0.90%, effective today.
