MONTREAL, Jan. 18, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Eggspectation Group, franchiser of the restaurants of the same name, acknowledges the situation revealed in the recent edition of Protégez-vous magazine regarding fines for health code violations received by the franchise located in Old Montreal.
"We tried to resolve this situation many times, and eventually had to close the restaurant in February 2012," said Mr. Enzo Renda, CEO. "This decision was made following a long legal process that also resulted in our ending the agreement with the former franchisee in question, and we are released from any liability for their actions." The restaurant Eggspectation inc. took all the necessary and legal actions in order to cancel the agreement with the Old Montreal franchise; this agreement and the right to use the name Eggspectation was cancelled at the end of 2008. The case itself was heard in January 2012 and in February 2012 the judgment allowing the franchisor to close the restaurant was accorded.
