Five $1 million winning MAXMILLIONS tickets sold in Ontario

Four $500,000 winning MAXMILLIONS tickets also sold in Ontario

TORONTO, May 23, 2015 /CNW/ - While the $50 million LOTTO MAX jackpot for Friday, May 22 was not won, there were several prize winning tickets sold in Ontario, including five winning MAXMILLIONS tickets. The five tickets worth $1 million each were sold in the following communities:

• Woodbridge
• St. Catharines
• Thunder Bay
• North Bay area
• Milton

Four MAXMILLIONS tickets, each worth $500,000, were also sold in Ontario. Those tickets were sold in the following communities:

• Stratford
• Toronto
• Brampton
• Newmarket

One ENCORE ticket worth $1,000,000 was sold in the Sudbury area and three tickets worth $100,000 each were sold in Ottawa, Sault Ste. Marie and the St. Thomas area.

Since its launch in September 2009, Ontario LOTTO MAX players have won over $2 billion in prizes, including 40 jackpot wins and 214 winning MAXMILLIONS tickets from all across the province.

For each $5 play, LOTTO MAX players receive three sets of seven numbers ranging from one to forty-nine. Players must match all seven numbers, in any one set, to win the jackpot and the MAXMILLIONS prizes.

Next week's LOTTO MAX jackpot will be an estimated $50 million plus 50 MAXMILLIONS prizes worth $1 million each for a total of $100 million in prizing. Players can purchase tickets at authorized OLG retailers until 9 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2015 for the draw that evening.
