MONTREAL, March 15, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - New Hampshire overwhelmingly rejected assisted suicide on March 6 2014. Former 3 term state representative Nancy Elliott will explain why New Hampshire rejected assisted suicide and why progressive societies like Quebec should do the same.
She will also show the similarities between the New Hamphire legislation and Quebec's.
Also present at the conference will be Lisa D'Amico President of Le fonds d'aide aux victimes d'erreurs médicales (FAVEM) who will describe the need to protect the population from the abuses of euthanasia. Also present will be 16 year old Nadine. She describes how she survived leukemia and a bone marrow transplant. This might not happened if Quebec's euthanasia law was in place two years ago.
Also present will be Dr. Paul Saba and Dr. Sylvia Baribeau who describe how euthanasia is an abandonment of people when they are most vulnerable.
