Government of Canada announces the re-appointment of Louise Fecteau to the Canada Industrial Relations Board Français
OTTAWA, Nov. 14, 2014 /CNW/ - Today, the Honourable Dr. K. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women, announced the re-appointment of Louise Fecteau to the Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB) for a three-year term. She began to serve as Vice-Chairperson of the CIRB on October 1, 2003.Ms. Fecteau has extensive experience in collective bargaining and grievance arbitration.

- The CIRB is an independent, representational, quasi-judicial tribunal responsible for the interpretation and administration of Part I (Industrial Relations) and certain provisions of Part II (Occupational Health and Safety) of the Canada Labour Code.
- The Board's expertise and composition allow it to deal effectively with the complexities of labour relations issues to determine the underlying causes of disputes and to facilitate agreement among the parties.
