OTTAWA, Oct. 2, 2018 /CNW/ - The Government of Canada understands that our public servants must be paid accurately and on time.
The government recently launched its innovative agile procurement process to seek potential vendors for the next generation human resources and pay system.
The next step of this challenge-based procurement process was posted this week on BuyAndSell.gc.ca, where the government has identified the issues it is looking to address at the outset, and has asked vendors to self-identify their interest and capacity in meeting the basic technical criteria required to support any new solution.
This multi-step process builds on an Industry Day held on September 19, 2018 which provided an overview of the initiative to vendors and sought their feedback, level of interest, and capacity to deliver a solution.
This new procurement process puts employees, public service union representatives, human resources practitioners and compensation advisors alongside vendors to identify potential solutions through hands-on trials.
Next generation pay system efforts run parallel to the ongoing stabilization of the Phoenix Pay System, which remains a top priority for the Government of Canada. Stabilizing the pay system will not only ensure that employees are paid accurately and on time, it will ultimately ensure a smooth and accurate transition to a new human resources and pay solution.
