GATINEAU, QC, Dec. 3, 2014 /CNW/ - Today, the Honourable Dr. K. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women, announced Government of Canada funding to support new economic opportunities for women in the Outaouais region of Quebec.
Option Femmes Emploi is receiving $233,500 for a 36-month project to promote the recruitment and retention of female construction workers in the Outaouais region. An action plan will then be piloted to support employers in integrating and retaining women in the sector.
