MONTRÉAL, July 24, 2012 /CNW/ - New investments in the sectors of arts, culture, heritage and official languages will promote economic growth in Greater Montréal and surrounding areas. Funding for 87 projects was announced today by the Honourable Christian Paradis, Minister of Industry and Minister of State (Agriculture), on behalf of the Honourable James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

By putting the spotlight on our culture, heritage and official languages, they contribute to the economic vitality of the area," added Minister Paradis. "We are pleased to contribute to the success of these renowned organizations."
"The Endowment Incentives component of the Canada Cultural Investment Fund is an invaluable tool for our Foundation," said Mrs. Madeleine Careau, Chief Executive Officer of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal.
