Huawei will demonstrate a range of innovative ICT solutions in Hall 1 of the Fira Gran Via including:
SoftCOM Strategy: Huawei proposed the future-oriented telecom network architecture strategy, SoftCOM, in 2012, which aims to help reconstruct the telecom industry from the perspectives of architecture, network, operation and service. The SoftCOM strategy will unleash the full potential of software-defined networking (SDN), network functions virtualization (NFV), cloud computing, and Internet-based operations. This, in turn, will enable telecom carriers to realize comprehensive network evolution and business transformation, as well as further advance an open, interconnected, and innovative ecosystem to increase and better leverage the aggraded industry value.
Evolving Ultra Mobile Broadband: Huawei will share its insights, strategies and solutions for the mobile broadband (MBB) industry, and demonstrate how it is helping operators build a ubiquitous, ocean-like ultra MBB network. These coordinated, agile and flexible networks will help operators expand their business beyond just the consumer segment and create more opportunities in vertical markets such as healthcare, transport, retail, and finance, opening the way for ICT transformation. Huawei will also demonstrate its flagship products and solutions including LTE-Advanced solutions, its 4.5G prototype, 5G development and FMC2.0, all of which demonstrate how Huawei is driving ICT technology to the next phase of network evolution. Finally, Huawei will showcase its latest and highly integrated small-sized macro stations, crowd-sourcing small cell, experience-centric mobile backhaul, NFV/SDN solutions, SD-DC2 (Service Driven-Distributed Cloud Data Center) architecture, and FusionCloud solution, which adopt cloud technologies in each layer of the telecom network infrastructure.
Enabling ICT Transformation: By enabling experience-centric operations, Huawei will share its strategies, solutions, and insights on customer experience management, business value creation, customer experience monetization, quality brand MBB development, and efficiency enhancement. As networks are becoming increasingly IT-centric and services are further digitalized and cloud-based, the company will also demonstrate how to enable agile and flexible ICT resource transformation for operators through business integration, orchestration, and infrastructure capability assurance. Huawei will also showcase its ICT Enterprise Architecture to illustrate the communication service providers' (CSPs) roadmap for ICT transformation, spanning experience management, business architecture, application architecture, information architecture, as well as platform and technology architecture. Another highlight of Huawei's showcase is its next generation operation system, Telco OS, with key functional modules including the Infrastructure Enabling System (IES) to realize flexible scheduling of bottom-layer ICT infrastructure and automatic resource management and allocation, big data analytics for analysis that can inform and generate valuable business strategy. In addition, Huawei's Business Enabling System (BES) realizes agile and flexible product development and package design, to promote partners' service development and facilitate the service purchasing and consumption of end users. All of this will help operators accomplish operation transformation driven by the vision for the "ROADS" experience.
Embracing an Open Digital Ecosystem: Huawei has made strategic investments to foster digital service convergence and network capability openness over the past few years in order to help operators build an open digital ecosystem. The realization of Internetized traffic monetization, and significant enhancement of user experiences and traffic value are centered around big data capabilities. Content openness and collaboration promote ecosystem development, thus ensuring an operator's continuous business success. Huawei will demonstrate how to work with CSPs to achieve digital transformation and offer digital services to individuals, families and industry customers by building an open digital ecosystem, aggregating global content and applications, and developing resources. Simultaneously, Huawei will continue to provide dedicated services and end-to-end ICT solutions for carriers to maximize their networks, platforms, and operation advantages, expand smart city markets by building a win-win ecosystem, and seize enterprise ICT transformation opportunities.
For consumers to stay connected, Huawei unveiled a series of wearable devices including the Huawei Watch, TalkBand B2, and TalkBand N1, on the eve of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015. Huawei also unveiled the next-generation phablet, MediaPad X2, and also announced the brands vision, "Dreams Inspire Creativity." The wearable device announcement showcases Huawei's commitment to inspiring creativity and creating products that will enhance the consumer's ecosystem.
At MWC 2015, Ken Hu, Deputy Chairman and Rotating CEO, Ryan Ding, President, Products & Solutions, and Chaobin Yang, CMO, Wireless Network Product Line, will convene to share their views on topics including "The Road to 5G," "Network Evolution in Practice," and "Business Cases for a 5G World."
MWC 2015 takes place in Barcelona from March 2-5. Huawei will showcase its latest products and solutions at Fira Gran Via Hall 1 and Hall 3. For more information, please visit http://www.huawei.com/minisite/mwc2015/en/index.html
