SEKTION offers endless possibilities for a sophisticated kitchen design
BURLINGTON, ON, Jan. 22, 2015 /CNW/ - IKEA Canada has announced that starting February 2, 2015 the retailer will be selling a versatile new kitchen system called SEKTION. IKEA is a well established market leader, selling an average of 70,000 kitchens per year in Canada, which have been widely chosen over more expensive custom kitchens. SEKTION features a new set of measurements for cabinets, doors and drawers, which offers customers the flexibility to customize a kitchen to any space, while maintaining the trusted quality of IKEA kitchens.
"At IKEA, we are continually developing our product range to make sure we meet the needs of our customers and have the best offer on the market." says Stefan Sjöstrand, President, IKEA Canada. "With SEKTION we will offer our customers endless possibilities to have a beautiful and highly functional kitchen at an affordable price."
One of the key features of SEKTION is "drawers within drawers", meaning that the inside functionality does not dictate the aesthetic of the outside. The kitchen can be designed in a way that there is one door for each drawer or a large door that covers several drawers, completely customizing the lines and expression of the kitchen.
To complete the sophisticated new design, SEKTION also offers high-functioning energy-efficient appliances that blend seamlessly, a whole new series of sustainably-sourced bamboo interior organizers and integrated LED lighting solutions that include in-drawer lighting.
SEKTION also retains the best features of the current IKEA kitchens, such as soft close drawers and doors, a wall mounted rail system for easy installation, and a free 25-year warranty. Starting February 2, 2015, customers can use the new online IKEA Kitchen Planner to plan their own SEKTION kitchen. In addition to the online tools, IKEA offers a full range of services from planning and measuring to delivery and installation.
IKEA Canada will be previewing the new SEKTION kitchen at this year's Interior Design Show in Toronto, January 22 – 25, 2015. IKEA has partnered with both House & Home as well as Style at Home magazines, who will each be designing a spectacular kitchen for the IKEA booth.
