TORONTO, May 3, 2013 /CNW/ - On Wednesday, May 1, 2013, in the City of Toronto, the Immigration Task Force (ITF), in collaboration with the RCMP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Police Dog Services, arrested four individuals.
Adriel ASSIU, age 23, and Avery ASSIU, age 21, both were wanted on federal warrants for their arrest. The ASSIUs were also wanted by Peel Regional Police for Robbery and Breach of Probation. Avery ASSIU was also wanted by Toronto Police Service for Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Fail to Comply with Probation Order. Both men are currently held in custody.
Two other individuals, Kadeem MUISE, age 21, and Shakur FOSTER, age 19, were also arrested without incident.
Kadeem MUISE was wanted by Peel Regional Police for Robbery and Fail to Comply with Recognizance; he was also wanted by Guelph Police Service for Assault, Assault with Weapon, Weapons Dangerous, Breach of Undertaking and Fail to Attend Court.
Shakur FOSTER was searched incidental to arrest and found to be in possession of a prohibited firearm. FOSTER was transported to Toronto Police Service's 42 Division and charged with Fail to Comply with Recognizance and Weapons offences.
The Immigration Task Force is a high-risk fugitive apprehension unit.
