VANCOUVER, Jan. 18, 2013 /CNW/ - A hearing was originally scheduled before a Hearing Panel of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC), in the matter of Jordan Rocco Steel from December 12 to December 13, 2012. The hearing was adjourned to February 5, 2013.
The hearing concerns an allegation that Mr. Steel acted contrary to Dealer Member Rule 29.1 by misappropriating approximately $40,000 from two individuals.
The hearing is open to the public, unless the panel orders otherwise. The decision of the panel will be made available at www.iiroc.ca.

Specifically, the allegation is that from January 2010 to August 2011, Mr. Steel misappropriated approximately $40,000 from two Investment Advisors for whom he worked as a registered assistant, contrary to Dealer Member Rule 29.1.
IIROC formally initiated the investigation into Mr. Steel's conduct in December 2011. The alleged violations occurred when he was a Registered Representative with the Vancouver branch of Canaccord Genuity Corp., an IIROC-regulated firm. Mr. Steel is no longer a registrant with an IIROC-regulated firm.
