Government of Canada provides funding for the Orangeville Blues and Jazz Festival
ORANGEVILLE, ON, Feb. 8, 2014 /CNW/ - The Government of Canada has provided $30,700 through the Building Communities through Arts and Heritage program to support the 12th edition of the Orangeville Blues and Jazz Festival.
David Tilson, Member of Parliament (Dufferin-Caledon), announced the funding today at the February Blues & Jazz Bash in support of the festival, on behalf of Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages Shelly Glover.
With this support, this festival will feature a broad and eclectic range of blues and jazz music in Orangeville's historic downtown core from June 5 to 8, 2014.

- The festival was named a Top 100 Event by Festivals & Events Ontario three years in a row.
- A variety of music is offered at over 25 venues throughout town, including large main stages, local talent stages, and acoustic tents.
