MONTREAL, Oct. 26, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The Conseil des arts de Montréal and the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal today launched a new web portal featuring ideas, information and initiatives that present innovative approaches to bringing arts and business together.
The result of a commitment by the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal following the 2007 Rendez-vous Montréal, métropole culturelle, the Montréal Arts and Business portal was recently redesigned by the Conseil des arts de Montréal in cooperation with the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal to better meet the needs of arts organizations and business people, who can obtain advice and concrete tools for successful networking.
The Montréal Arts and Business portal is a site where, in just three clicks, users can consult handy fact sheets about finding donors or investing in art, ranging from what motivates donors to the tax advantages of donations and other investments, such as acquiring Canadian works of art.
"The Montréal Arts and Business portal meets the needs of businesses and individuals who support or would like to support Montréal's cultural organizations," says Michel Leblanc, President and CEO of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal. "Business people are aware that their support is needed to strengthen the cultural sector and allow it to contribute to our city's influence and economic growth. I encourage them to consult this goldmine of information to discover ways to better support local arts and culture."
"The portal also has tools and advice for artists and arts companies: fact sheets on fundraising, customized sample proposals for potential sponsors and donors, success factors for fundraising campaigns, best international practices and much more," says Louise Roy, President of the Conseil des arts de Montréal.
