TORONTO, Nov. 13, 2013 /CNW/ - Effective immediately, the public can help support those whose lives have been devastated by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines by making donations to the Canadian Red Cross Typhoon Haiyan Fund at any of the more than 638 LCBO stores throughout Ontario.
"Ontarians have a long history of giving generously to help others affected by natural disasters," said LCBO President & CEO Bob Peter. "LCBO customers can make donations at checkout counters from now until December 9 to contribute to the relief effort in the aftermath of this catastrophe."
"Red Cross volunteers and staff are working around the clock to help families who have been affected by Typhoon Haiyan," said Conrad Sauvé, Secretary General and CEO of the Canadian Red Cross. "We are thankful to the LCBO and their customers for supporting our humanitarian mission."
