TORONTO, June 12, 2017 /CNW/ - Mackenzie Financial Corporation (Mackenzie Investments) announced today a reclassification of the Mackenzie Maximum Diversification US Index ETF risk rating from "Low to Medium" to "Medium".
The ETF seeks to replicate the performance of the TOBAM Maximum Diversification USA Index, or any successor thereto. It invests primarily in U.S. equity securities.
This change results from compliance with the Canadian Securities Administrators' updated Risk Classification Methodology (December 2016). Previously, the ETF's risk rating was determined using a standard deviation based calculation sanctioned by the Canadian ETF Association.
There are no changes to the investment objectives or strategies of Mackenzie Maximum Diversification US Index ETF associated with its new risk rating.
