OPG/OPP relaunch popular "Sea Dog" safety ads for summer
TORONTO, May 18, 2012 /CNW/ - As Ontarians prepare for the Victoria Day weekend Ontario Power Generation (OPG) and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) today relaunched their popular "Sea Dog" water safety ads. The ads advise people to stay away from power dams as water levels can change quickly.
"This is the weekend when people put their boats in, open their cottages and enjoy the great outdoors. It's also the perfect time to talk to your family about water safety for the summer. Our ads help push that message home," said Frank Chiarotto, Senior Vice President of OPG's Hydro-Thermal Operations group.
The TV ad targets the fishing community but the message "Stay Clear Stay Safe" is something everyone should remember. This message is supported by print ads.
The ad can be viewed at www.opg.com/videos/_water_safety_ad4.asp. It will run on Ontario TV stations until September.
