TORONTO, June 7, 2013 /CNW/ - University of Toronto economist David K. Foot, author of such best-selling books as Boom, Bust & Echo and The Coming Demographic Shift, will address the closing session of the Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions' 2013 Biennial Convention at 1 p.m. this afternoon in Toronto.
At 2:15 p.m., Canadian Labour Congress President Ken Georgetti will address the more than 850 nurses from across Canada who are attending the national convention.

Convention business begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Metropolitan Ballroom of the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel in Toronto. The convention is scheduled to adjourn at 5 p.m.
CFNU represents close to 200,000 nurses and student nurses. Members work in hospitals, long-term care facilities, community health care, and our homes. CFNU speaks to all levels of government, other health care stakeholders and the public about evidence-based policy options to improve patient care, working conditions and our public health care system.
