OTTAWA, July 25, 2018 /CNW/ - Local offices of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) in Quebec will host a BBQ on July 25 in Gatineau, near the offices of Carla Qualtrough, Minister of Public Services, Procurement and Accessibility, and Patty Hajdu, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour. Members from local offices in the region will be in attendance as well as members of the CUPW National Office.
Civil servants from both departments have been invited to hear about our dissatisfaction with the slow pace of the current negotiations. We will also be presenting our vision for the post office, including ideas for service expansion, such as postal banking, greening the post office, and charging stations for electric vehicles, to name a few.
