OTTAWA, Oct, 20, 2014 /CNW/ - The Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions (CFNU) is available to comment on new PHAC Ebola Guidelines discussed during a meeting with PHAC Chief Public Health Officer and Health Canada Officials. Canada's overall Ebola preparedness and response were also discussed.
CFNU President Linda Silas will be available to comment on the substance of the meeting with PHAC immediately after the meeting ends.

Background
On October 9, 2014, the CFNU sent Dr. Gregory Taylor, Canada's Chief Public Health Officer, a letter requesting PHAC convene an urgent meeting with stakeholders to discuss a pan-Canadian approach to emergency preparedness in light of the Ebola outbreak. This meeting is a response to CFNU's request.
