TORONTO, Sept. 25, 2023 /CNW/ - Jasmin Guenette, Vice-President of National Affairs at the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB), will be available tomorrow morning to comment on the recent changes to Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA). Guenette will be available to answer media questions during and after a press conference held by the Bloc Quebecois in Ottawa.
Small businesses are not happy with the 18-day extension to the forgivable deadline. According to CFIB's latest data, 69% of small businesses that accessed the loan have not yet been able to repay any of it.
CFIB is urging the government to further extend the forgivable CEBA deadline for an additional year to December 2024.
