MONTREAL, May 14, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Members of three union organizations representing close to 10,000 employees at the McGill University Health Centre will gather in front of the Montreal General Hospital at noon May 15 for a demonstration against the reduction in medical services offered to the public and the poor management practices responsible for brutal budget cuts at the anglophone hospital network.
Journalists are invited to report on a second round of cutbacks announced this week by the MUHC administration to employees, without consulting them. Spokespersons for the CSN, the MUHC Employees' Union, the Alliance du personnel professionnel et technique de la santé et des services sociaux (APTS) and the Fédération interprofessionnelle de la santé du Québec - FIQ will be available for interviews.
