MONTREAL, April 30, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - The jury for the 2014 edition of the Carte Blanche for Creatives competition, organized by Astral Out-of-Home, yesterday announced this year's winning entry for the Montréal market. The grand prize winner is the "Chat Perdu" campaign, designed by the team of Martin Baron and Marie-Ève Leclerc-Dion of lg2 for their client, Lotto Max!
The winning team will be jetting off to France for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. For its part, Lotto Max wins a campaign on the Astral Out-of-Home network in the Montréal region.
From April 7-9, the jury - composed of a member from the creative team of each agency that submitted an entry - deliberated and voted on the winning piece. The 15 finalists were selected in advance by the creative community on the site carteblancheforcreatives.ca. Advertising creatives submitted over 225 original pieces for the fifth edition of the competition.
"Yet again this year, the pieces entered in the Carte Blanche for Creatives competition highlighted the imagination and passion of Québec creatives," said Nathalie Doré, Vice-President, Marketing and Innovation, Bell Media Sales. "The quality pieces that were submitted illustrate the talent in our creative community and are an exciting testament to its interest in out-of-home advertising. We would like to warmly congratulate the winners and thank all of the participants for submitting such incredibly original work."
Launched in February, this year's Carte Blanche competition received a record number of entries for the three participating markets - Montréal, Toronto, and Vancouver.
The winners for the Toronto market will be announced tonight, and the winners for Vancouver will be unveiled on May 8.
