MONTREAL, Oct. 29, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Mr. Christian G. Dubois is pleased to announce that the MyflexyPark on-line service is now operational in Canada (http://www.myflexypark.ca/). MyflexyPark is designed to eliminate headaches for drivers by allowing them to book reserved parking spots that are located near subway/commuter train stations or bus stops prior to arriving at their destinations.
The site is designed to allow parking spot owners who aren't home during the day or who wish to rent out their spaces or driveways on a short-term basis to optimize the use of their spots.
"This is a win-win service for everyone. Individuals who own parking spots and who are at work during the day or out of town can generate extra revenue by renting their spots out to individuals who are seeking the convenience of reserving a parking spot at a competitive rate and can subsequently take public transport, like a metro, a train or a bus," said Mr. Dubois.
MyflexyPark was founded by a Belgian citizen, Benoit Blangy, who came up with the idea after getting tired of driving around in circles looking for parking spaces.
MyflexyPark is extremely easy to use. Individuals looking to book a parking spot can consult the website or an App (which will be available for Apple and Androìd at the end of November) in order to find an available parking spot near their chosen destination. They can then book it online if the owner has selected the fast booking option. The reservation will then be validated upon completion of payment via MyflexyPark's secure on-line platform. If the fast booking option for the spot isn't available the owner of the parking spot can simply approve the reservation via text message and the booking will be finalized after the on-line payment. Registration is free and parking spot owners can choose whether to accept or refuse any requests. The MyflexyPark service has proved to be popular in Europe, notably in areas located near airports and train stations as well as venues for sports events and concerts. At the same time, the service has a green component by encouraging people to park their cars near transportation hubs such as commuter train stations and/or subway stations thereby leading to less congestion and fewer cars on the road.
MyflexyPark aims to offer extremely competitive rates that are approximately 50% cheaper than existing market prices. At the end of the month 80 % of revenues are deposited directly into the banking accounts of parking space owners who also receive a detailed overview of all the reservations that were made for their parking spots.
