National Bank donates $1.2 million as part of a campaign in support of the École d'Entrepreneurship de Beauce Français
ST-GEORGES, QC, Oct. 3, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - As part of its fundraising campaign in the Quebec business community, the École d'Entrepreneurship de Beauce (EEB) is pleased to announce a $1.2 million donation from National Bank of Canada. This major contribution demonstrates the Bank's commitment to the EEB and its primary mission—training Quebec's next generation of elite entrepreneurs.
"We firmly believe that the health of our economy is based on dynamic entrepreneurs. Supporting tomorrow's business leaders is therefore crucial. Our donation to the EEB is one of the ways that we help make the next generation of entrepreneurs strong and effective, so that they can play a key role in the growth of Quebec's economy," stated Louis Vachon, President and Chief Executive Officer of National Bank.
"Since its inception, the EEB has been proud to count on National Bank's vital support for its activities and development. The Bank's concrete assistance has helped make the EEB an exceptional institution and provided direct support to a number of students enrolled in the programs we have developed," said Nathaly Riverin, Director of the school.
A portion of the Bank's $1.2 million donation will be used to make it easier for eligible candidates to enrol in an EEB program. This support reflects how committed the school and National Bank are to making the EEB's programs more accessible to budding entrepreneurs.
Marc Dutil, Founding President of the EEB, was very pleased with the Bank's commitment to the EEB's activities, and saw this $1.2 million donation as another sign of trust and recognition for the progress the school has made. "This partnership has contributed to the success of many innovative projects and reinforces the importance of our commitment to Quebec entrepreneurs. The trust placed in us has stimulated us to excel and allowed us to offer programs that meet the expectations of the business community," he affirmed.
