MONTREAL, April 23, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - "Collectif Santé Montréal", announced today the appointment of Mr. Luc Fouquette in the role of General Manager. He joined the Consortium on April 3rd following the departure of Mrs. Irene Marsh.
The consortium is the private sector partner of a PPP project which is responsible for financing, design, build and maintenance of the future "Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Montréal" (CHUM).
Prior to joining "Collectif Santé Montréal", Mr. Fouquette was Vice President and Managing Director of Vapor Rail, a Wabtec subsidiary.
Previously, he has been Project Director for large complex projects: He led the bidding phase of the McGill University Health Center for the Quebec Public-Private Partnership Agency. He also led the team who delivered the largest multi-level commuter rail car project at the time for the North American division of Bombardier Transportation.
Mr. Fouquette's track record also includes a position as the Executive Director of EPIX Inc., a leading company who developed several preventative maintenance programs and computerized management systems for hospitals and biomedical equipment.
In addition, Mr. Fouquette holds a science degree in civil engineering from Sherbrooke University. He also obtained a certificate in finance from "Université du Québec à Montréal" as well as an MBA from the Richard-Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario.
Mr. Fouquette was also Vice-President of the Executive Committee and member of the Board of Directors of "École de Technologie Supérieure" between 2001 and 2010.
About the Collectif Santé Montréal
The Collectif Santé Montréal is a consortium consisting of Innisfree Canada Ltd., Obrascon Huarte Lain, S.A. (OHL), Laing O'Rourke Corporation Ltd. (Laing O'Rourke) and Dalkia Canada Inc. Its mission is to design, build, finance and maintain the future CHUM. Two separate project construction phases will take place over a nine-year period, starting in 2011. Operating under the name Construction Santé Montréal Construction, contractors Laing O'Rourke and OHL are drawing on the experience of many major regional and international subcontractors, such as Cannon Design (Canada) and DCYSA (Montreal) architects, HH Angus, Pasquin St-Jean, Roche and Groupe SM engineers and Montréal construction firms EBC and Magil. Once construction has been completed, Dalkia Canada Inc. will be responsible for CHUM's maintenance over a 30-year period.
