New project to create around 50 jobs - Amaris Group opens subsidiary in Greater Montréal and bolsters presence in North America Français
MONTREAL, June 13, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - International technologies and management consulting group Amaris has announced it is opening a subsidiary in Greater Montréal. This project, which is expected to create around 50 jobs over the next three years, will enable Amaris to bolster its development activities in North America.
The group, which already has more than 40 facilities located in the US and around the world, is extending its international network. "Greater Montréal is a strategic location for our company. This new facility in the heart of North America brings us closer to new decision-making centres and consolidates our presence with our international clients," explained Jean-François Thunet, Amaris' Director for North America. "Greater Montréal stands out for its highly competitive environment, coupled with an R&D base that is among the most dynamic in the world. The region offers substantial opportunities in high-tech fields."
This new subsidiary will contribute to the development of projects in several areas, particularly information technologies, telecom, engineering & high-tech, as well as biotech & pharma. "We are setting up centres of expertise in Montréal that will help us to implement projects for local as well as international clients," added Mr. Thunet.
Montréal International, whose mission includes attracting foreign direct investments to Greater Montréal, provided Amaris with support to set up its facility in Québec. "We are pleased to take part in Amaris' international development strategy. The arrival of this major international group further demonstrates the attractiveness of our metropolitan region, which stems from the vitality of its high-tech sectors, the excellence of its universities and research centres and the talent of its highly qualified and bilingual workforce," said Élie Farah, Vice-President, Investment Greater Montréal, Montréal International.
Amaris Group has also announced in 2013 the opening of two more subsidiaries: in Lisbon (Portugal) and Amsterdam (Netherlands).
