Organizations and citizens have until May 1 to nominate candidates.
The Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Québec, Stéphanie Vallée, will mark the award-winner's contribution at an official ceremony at which the Prix de la Justice medal, a creation of Polish-born Québec artist Bozena Happach, will be presented. The award, which honours a Quebecer who has worked to enhance the justice system, promotes the values of universality, quality and accessibility.

About the Prix de la Justice award
On December 5, 2017, Minister Stéphanie Vallée presented the 2016 Prix de la Justice award to Édith Cloutier, highlighting her commitment to the defence of Aboriginal rights, her leadership in the fight against racial discrimination, and her contribution to closer ties between peoples. A member of the Anishnabe Nation, Ms. Cloutier has been the director of the Native Friendship Centre Val-d'Or for almost thirty years. Her trademark has been a dynamic and human approach, based on the identification of solutions.
Since its creation on June 4, 1990, the 25th anniversary of the foundation of the Ministère de la Justice, the Prix de la Justice award has been presented to 12 women and 13 men.
