MONTRÉAL, Jan. 23, 2019 /CNW Telbec/ - As we count down to Bell Let's Talk Day next Wednesday January 30, we thank the hundreds of organizations across Canada that are generously providing their support to get the word out about what will be the biggest conversation about mental health in the world.
"Everyone's engagement in mental health is crucial to making progress, and we can all join the conversation on Bell Let's Talk Day by sending messages of support to fight the stigma, call for action and directly drive Bell's funding for mental health programs. We're grateful to these leading organizations for encouraging everyone to get engaged in the mental health cause and make sure our voices are heard on what promises to be the biggest Bell Let's Talk Day ever," said Mary Deacon, Chair of Bell Let's Talk.
The list of organizations involved in promoting mental health and the Bell Let's Talk Day campaign keeps growing every year. More than 200 Canadian universities and colleges are holding campus and athletic events this year to promote mental health programs. Other institutions and organizations nationwide – including content creators and media organizations, festivals, social media platforms, government and military, unions, sports teams and athletic organizations, associations, corporations and competitors – are all lending their voices and platforms to the cause.

Everyone is invited to join the conversation on Bell Let's Talk Day by sending messages of support across multiple platforms to drive both awareness and action in mental health. Bell will donate 5 cents to Canadian mental health programs for each of the following interactions on January 30, at no extra cost to participants beyond what they would normally pay their service provider for online or phone access:
- Talk: Every mobile and every long distance call made by Bell wireless and phone customers
- Text: Every text message sent by Bell wireless customers
- Twitter: Every tweet and retweet using #BellLetsTalk, featuring the special Bell Let's Talk emoji, and Bell Let's Talk Day video view at Twitter.com/Bell_LetsTalk
- Facebook: Every view of the Bell Let's Talk Day video at Facebook.com/BellLetsTalk and use of the Bell Let's Talk frame
- Instagram: Every Bell Let's Talk Day video view at Instagram.com/bell_letstalk
- Snapchat: Every use of the Bell Let's Talk filter and video view
Total Bell Let's Talk Day interactions since the first event in 2011 stand at 867,449,649 and are expected to exceed an all-time total of 1 billion on January 30. Bell's funding commitment for mental health, including the company's donations based on Bell Let's Talk Day engagement plus its original $50-million donation to launch the initiative, is now $93,423,628.80 and expected to surpass a total of $100 million on January 30.
