People practices and company culture propel BDC onto Canada's Top 100 Employers ranking for ninth year in a row Français
MONTREAL, Nov. 4, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) is proud to announce that it has once again been selected to join the ranks of Canada's Top 100 Employers. This annual national competition organized by Mediacorp Canada Inc. acknowledges employers that offer outstanding work environments.
"At BDC, there are two things we are most proud of – what we do to support Canadian entrepreneurs and what we do to create a stimulating work environment for all our employees. It is a great achievement to be recognized as one of Canada's best," says Mary Karamanos, Senior Vice President, Human Resources.
To develop the Top 100 list for 2015, Mediacorp examined the recruitment histories of over 80,000 employers across Canada that it tracks for its widely-used job search engine, Eluta.ca. From this initial group, editors invited 35,000 active employers that created new jobs in the past year. Employers completed an extensive application process that included a detailed review of their operations and HR practices, comparing them to others in their industry and region.
In 2014, BDC was ranked as one of Canada's Top 100 Employers, one of Montreal's Top Employers, one of Canada's Best Diversity Employers and one of the Top Employers for Canadians Over 40.
