MONTREAL, March 22, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - In yesterday's budget, The Federal Finance Minister Jim Flaherty announced the abolishment of the International Banking Centres program.
Several people from the business community wrongly believed that this decision would have an impact on the International Financial Centres program. The management of the IFC Montreal wants to reassure the finance community, particularly the financial corporations who benefit from this program. There is not link between yesterday's announcement and the tax credits which they benefit from under the International Financial Centre (IFC) program. The IFC program is under the administration of Quebec's Finance and Economy Ministry.
