Public Service Announcement - Royal Canadian Hussars train in Farnham and Cowansville region Français
MONTREAL, Oct. 26, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Approximately forty five reservists from the Royal Canadian Hussars (RCH) will conduct the training exercise « Galloping Hussar » in Farnham from 26 to 28 October 2012.
During this exercise, RCH reservists will practice military reconnaissance operations in a real environment. The training will consist of zone, routes, point reconnaissance, and convoy escorts.
The training will be conducted in the areas of Eastern Farnham and Cowansville. Citizens of these municipalities can expect to see troop and vehicle movements for the duration of the exercise. G Wagons vehicles will be equipped with C6 machine guns and soldiers will be carrying C7 rifles. No ammunition or other pyrotechnics will be used in civilian areas. All efforts will be put forward to minimize disturbance to the residents of these areas and no environmental hazards are foreseen.
Coordination has been made between the RCH and the different municipalities in order to ensure that every measure has been taken to conduct this exercise safely.
