MONTRÉAL, Nov. 5, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Lotto Max will again offer a $60 million jackpot for the Friday, November 6, draw. Approximately 24 Maxmillions will also be up for grabs, for a total of 25 draws and as many chances to become a millionaire that evening!
"Over $1 billion was won by Québec lottery consumers thanks to Lotto Max since the game was launched in September 2009," said Simon Patenaude, President, Lottery Operations. "In fact, it was this lottery that allowed Loto-Québec to hand out $55 million, the largest prize in its history, to a group of co-workers in Boucherville on July 17, 2015."
And that's not all! The following day, Lotto 6/49 will offer a $25 million jackpot in addition to the regular Guaranteed Million prize. Lottery fans therefore stand to win a total of $110 million in less than 2 days.
As recently announced in the second quarter report for 2015-2016, Quebecers have been quite lucky since the beginning of the fiscal year, i.e. from April 1 to September 28, as they brought home $461.7 million in lottery prizes. Since the beginning of 2015, Loto-Québec has crowned 65 millionaires in Québec!
Since mid-July, consumers have had more time to take part in the draws with a wager closing time of 10:30 p.m. for terminal-based lotteries. In addition, a new prize structure allows the jackpot to first grow from $50 to $55 million and then to $60 million, a development sure to draw the interest of many players! Maxmillions (worth $1 million) continue to be offered once the jackpot reaches $50 million and also increase when the jackpot is not won.
