TORONTO, Dec. 7, 2017 /CNW/ - On November 20th and 21st, 2017 two Canada Post parcels were intercepted at the Vancouver International Mail Centre by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). The parcels were originally declared as facial masks, however, upon examination, it was discovered that they contained 26 grams and 24 grams of fentanyl respectively. Both parcels were destined for an address in Toronto.
On November 30th, 2017, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) from the Toronto Airport attended the address on the parcels and arrested one male individual without incident.
The male was identified as Terry Chad Stuckless, 32 years old, who is charged with:
- Unlawful import into Canada a controlled substance contained in schedule 1, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
- Possession of a schedule 1 substance, contrary to the CDSA
- Conspire to commit an indictable offence to possess a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)
- Conspire to commit an indictable offence of importing a controlled substance into Canada, contrary to the CCC
Mr. Stuckless is to appear in court on December 8th, 2017 at the Old City Hall Court House in Toronto.
