WINNIPEG, June 22, 2012 /CNW/ - The Canadian Grain Commission reminds grain producers and industry stakeholders about the cancellation of registration for some grain varieties effective August 1, 2013.
Registration for Garnet, a wheat variety belonging to the Canada Western Red Spring (CWRS) class will be cancelled. Effective August 1, 2013, this variety will only be eligible for the grade Wheat, Canada Western Feed.
Registration for the following flaxseed varieties will be cancelled:
- CDC Mons
- CDC Normandy
Effective August 1, 2013, these varieties will only be eligible for the grade Flaxseed, 3 Canada Western/Canada Eastern.
To find out if your grain varieties are eligible for the highest grades, you can check the variety designation lists on the Canadian Grain Commission's web site: www.grainscanada.gc.ca.
